Bill to add voter registration link to all State websites advances to Assembly

SACRAMENTO – Today, the California Senate voted in favor of putting a link to the Secretary of State’s voter registration page on all State websites.

Senator Leland Yee’s (D-San Francisco/San Mateo) Senate Bill (SB) 44 would expand access to the online voter registration system implemented last year that allowed nearly 850,000 Californians to register to vote online, 800,000 of which did so in 45 days leading up to last November’s election.

Currently, when law enforcement encounters children forced into prostitution, they are arrested despite being under the age of consent. This often results in children being put onto juvenile probation or into juvenile detention.
