Meet Senator

Angelique Ashby

 

Senator Ashby was elected in 2022 to represent Sacramento and Elk Grove.

The only woman on the Sacramento City Council for over six years, the first-ever in history to give birth while in office, and the only person to serve as Vice Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem for seven years — Angelique turned Sacramento into a city that works for more of us.

This beautification project is part of an ongoing effort from Team Ashby and Councilmember Maple to earn a Clean California Community Designation. Volunteers will assist with trash pick-up around the sports fields and cleaning the playground to create a welcoming environment for all.

Foster Youth Bill
The 2023-2024 State Budget includes increased funding that will allow most foster youth to have most of their financial needs met for college through the Middle Class Scholarship (MCS), and the Foster Youth Student Success Completion Grant.
